I will pick you up at 8:00 at your hotel in Tokyo, and start the tour from Tokyo Sta. by Shinkansen (bullet train) or Shinjuku Sta. by Odakyu Express. After arriving at Odawara Sta. we will go up to Mt. Sounzan and Owakudani Volcanic Valley by mountain train, funicular cable-car and gondola ropeway, cruise through Lake Ashi in a Pirate Ship, visit Hakone Shrine and go back to Tokyo or to Shinjuku.
At your hotel in Tokyo or a railway station nearby
We will take a mountain train from Hokone-yumoto, the biggest town in Hakone area, and go up thru zigzag railway line towards Gora where we will change to a cable-car then a ropeway towards Oowakudani Valley up there.
We will, by a gondola ropeway, visit Oowakudani, a volcanic valley, with steam and sulfur gas gushing from the mountain side. Famous for its black boiled eggs.
Cruising in a pirate ship thru the frozen-free lake made by the explosion of surrounding volcanos about 3 thousand years ago

Hakone and Lake Ashi is the most popular resort in Japan to which, they say, 20 million people visit a year because of its beautiful scenery, hot springs and easy access from Tokyo. It's worth trying to see Mt. Fuji. (Unless it's rainy or heavily cloudy, you will see the touching view of Mt. Fuji from Owakudani and Ashi Lake)
You will not walk so long time as every visiting spots are connected with trains, cable cars, rope-ways and pleasure boats in Hakone area.

The guidance day with Yasuro was a must-do. It was a very smooth landing in this busy (and beautiful) Tokyo. Yasuro knows every corner of the city and was incredibly patient, adjusting to every request or need.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Sivan, Thank you very much for the generous review for me. It was happy time for me to talk with you while taking lunch and walking thru streets and parks in Tokyo. And I learned a lot about the cultures of your country. As Kyoto is hotter than Tokyo, please take care of yourselves, and enjoy Onsen, hot spring, in Hakone. Thank you again. Best regards, Yasuro
Yasuro made navigating all the transportation options easy. He's a very knowledgeable guide from where the best places to sit are to how to be respectful at the shrine. We felt lucky that we found him.
Dear Steven S., Thank you very much for the generous review for me. It was a joyful time for me to talk with you about many topics during the tour. How did you find Onsen (a hot spring) of your hotel? I hope you really enjoyed Onsen and good Sushi without shellfish, of course. As it is still very hot in Tokyo this week, please take care of yourselves and have good memories of Japan. Thank you again. Best regards, Yasuro
Unfortunately it rained the day of our tour but Yasuro made it enjoyable and was very friendly and knowledgeable
Dear Steven K., Thank you very much for your kind review on me. But I’m sorry that I could not lead you to the hotel entrance at the end of the tour. How was Hakone today? I do hope you have succsessfully seen Mt. Fuji from Lake Ashi. Please take care of your selves as you are supposed to visit Kyoto and Osaka from tomorrow. Have a good day! Best regards, Yasuro
Yasu guided us out of Tokyo, to the Hakone area. It was a great day out, and we were able to miss the Tokyo heat for a day. We saw the shrine, the lake, took the ride on a pirate ship, took the cable cars, and saw some tremendous scenery. We got one good look at Mt Fuji, before the clouds closed in. For me the best was the rope cars up through the mist, which was eerie and quite exciting, as well as to see and smell the sulphur mine! It was something unexpected and will last in our memory. Yasu was patient, kind, and adapted the tour to suit that day’s circumstances. We had three tours with Yasu, and he is a great guide. Please book him if you get a chance - it will be a highlight of your trip. We are so glad to have met and to have gotten to know Yasu. Thank you Yasu!
Dear Mr & Mrs Guy B., Thank you for your kind review on me too. I will never foget the scene when the pirate ship appeared far from the foggy side of the lake and we knew that operation of the pirate ship and the ropeway had been resumed. Please take care of yourselves as your journey in Japan will be still going on. And I do hope your sixth grandchild will be borne safely. Thank you again. Best regards, Yasuro
